Primus will release a new album on October 21, according to an Instagram post from Nashville, Tennessee record store Grimey's.

The album will be the band's seventh studio album and their first since 2011's Green Naughahyde.

According to JamBase, the album will be called Primus & The Chocolate Factory With The Fungi Ensemble.  In a recent interview with San Francisco Weekly, Les Claypool said that the band's new album will be "our interpretation of the Willy Wonka soundtrack."  The band played the Willy Wonka soundtrack at a New Year's Eve concert last year.

It has been a tough month for Primus.  Drummer Tim Alexander had open heart surgery to remove a blockage from his arteries.  According to the band, "all signs point to a glorious and speedy recovery.
