Several agencies along the Arkansas River are preparing sandbags for people that may need them in the coming days:
Fort Smith:Free supplies at the street department -3900 Kelley Highway
Fort Smith:Downtown parking lot near the Convention Center -8th & Garrison
Fort Smith:County site in the Chaffee Crossing area -7020 Taylor
Greenwood:Sandbags at the county road department -201 South Coker
Moffett:Volunteers are helping fill sandbags - contact the city (918-875-3666)
Van Buren:Free sandbags outside the emergency manager's office (you have to fill them yourself -1820 Chestnut Street
