Concern over a breech at a Crawford County levee has been addressed. The levee has now been reinforced at the weak section and officials believe it to have be effective.
Officials said the levee "slid." They were able to get most of it repaired before heavy rains rolled through the River Valley on Wednesday night. If a breach were to occur, about 152 structures would be affected.
People who live near Newtown Road and Crosslanes Road were warned earlier in the week. Most of the area near those levees is farmland.
