Dating can be tricky and it’s easy to miss the warning signs, even when they’re obvious to everyone around you. In the search to find “The One,” you’re bound to meet some duds, but sometimes you don’t figure that out until you’ve wasted time and energy on them. But one woman was lucky enough to have a kind stranger point out what she didn’t see in her date so she could cut her losses on the first date.
Twitter user @Hadia__S shares the story in a post that’s gone viral and has many users asking for more details. She writes that she had coffee with a guy and when he got up to use the cafe’s bathroom, “the gay guy” sitting behind her passed her a note. It was written in blue pen on a CVS receipt and it reads, “Too many red flags. Run. Be safe, girl.”
Hadia shares, “It honestly wasn’t THAT bad … until he came out of the bathroom,” adding that “everything he said after the note was a major red flag.” She assures concerned Twitter users that she wasn’t in any danger and would have recognized the issues with or without the note. “But the note was greatly appreciated and added some laughs to my night,” she writes in a follow-up tweet. “There won’t be a second date.”
