Mumford & Sons Banjo player Winston Marshall scared fans across the globe this week when he joked that Mumford may be done forever.
Marshall said: "I wish I had something to say about Mumford & Sons. It was a good time, It's over. We had a good time, though, you know. It was good."
Marshall later said he was just joking. Meanwhile lead singer Marshall Mumford announced a solo project where he will be reworking unreleased Bob Dylan songs with Elvis Costello and other musicians.
Mumford & Sons officially announced their hiatus late last year, it remains to be seen if they actually do get back together and make new music.
