If the summer heat is already wearing you out, I've got two quick tricks for you.

First, before bed tonight, toss your pillowcase into a Ziplock bag and stick it in the freezer for about 10 minutes. On a hot night, that cool pillow can feel absolutely amazing and may help you fall asleep faster.

Then tomorrow afternoon, when that post-lunch slump hits and you're reaching for your third cup of coffee, try this instead: finish your shower with 60 seconds of cold water. 

It sounds miserable, but that quick blast can leave you feeling surprisingly alert and energized without the caffeine crash later.

A frozen pillow tonight and a cold shower tomorrow. Two simple summer hacks that might make your Monday a whole lot cooler.
